Coronavirus is having a pretty big impact on buyfagging and there's a good chance you won't be able to ship things the way you normally would as Japan Post has drastically scaled back their services due to the lack of flights. For more detail on how this affects you and what you can do about this, keep on reading. Only the countries covered in the guide are listed below, for a full list see here.

You will have to wait until normal service resumes, which could be several months down the line, or use use a private courier, such as DHL or FedEx. This may work out as significantly more expensive to ship depending on size/weight but means you will get your stuff fairly quickly. These services are currently holding up fine but information on any shipping delays is available here: DHL, FedEx, UPS. More information on how private couriers work can be found on the Shipping#Private_companies page.
If you do not want to pay this or the store you bought from doesn't offer any private courier services, check their FAQ or contact them. Many stores are offering to hold on to your package until normal service resumes or are giving you the option of a refund. The same applies for any orders you might have through a proxy or forwarder.
Countries where only SAL is suspended
- Canada
- Finland
- France
- Germany
- Mexico
- United Kingdom
You are still able to receive EMS and Airmail packages at the moment but expect delays of several weeks, if not months. If the situation changes and EMS/Airmail becomes suspended to your country before your stuff has left Japan, it may be returned back to the store, adding even more delay to getting your order. If this concerns you, consider using a private courier. See above for information.
