New figure announcements and discussion
For most people starting out and for those who don't want to browse many websites, there are two primary websites which will be used to find out about new figures.
- 4chan Buyfag thread - Find current discussion thread instantly. Alternatively, use this filter: buyf*g*. Select the top option to keep threads at the top. If you don’t find a matching expression, look for a recent preorder picture.
- Read this, it might save your life
- /jp/, /toy/ and /v/ might have some relevant threads from time to time, but non-articulated statues and nudity are not allowed on /toy/
FiginStock - Useful when you are hunting down figures, you can add the figure you want and the site will let you know if it becomes available at any of the popular stores.
Figurenews This site posts most of the figure related news and photos that manufactures post to their blog and twitter. Includes mech stuff and western licenses.
Toy-Navi A figure review site with high resolution and high photo count.
Hobbylog This site posts threads from futaba.
MFC Pictures All official promotional pictures are supposed to uploaded here. These are what you see when you go to an items order page.
